This book constitutes the proceedings of the 4th International Conference, IN4PL 2023, held in Rome, Italy, during November 15-17, 2023The 11 full papers and the 13 short papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 33 submissions. The book focuses on research and development involving innovative methods, software and  hardware, whereby intelligent systems are applied to industrial production and logistics.
