Biographical note
George A. Tsihrintzis is Full Professor in the Department of Informatics in the University of Piraeus, Greece, and served as its Head from Sept. 2016 through Aug. 2020. He received the Diploma of Electrical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (with honors) and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His current research interests include Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Decision Theory, and Statistical Signal Processing and their applications in Multimedia Interactive Services, User Modeling, Knowledge-based Software Systems, Human-Computer Interaction and Information Retrieval. He has authored or co-authored over 350 research publications in these areas, which include 5 monographs and 26 edited volumes.
He is co-Founder and co-Editor of the Springer series on LEARNING AND ANALYTICS IN INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS, the Editor-in-Chief of Intelligent Decision Technologies (IOS Press) and the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Studies (Inderscience) and a member of the editorial boards of 15 additional journals. He has (co-)authored 6 monographs and guest (co-)edited 11 special issues of international journals. He has (co-)chaired over 30 international conferences and (co-)edited 26 books.Shiuh-Jeng WANG was a visiting scholar of Computer Science Dept. at Florida State University (FSU), USA in 2002 and 2004. He also was a visiting scholar of Dept. of Computer and Information Science and Engineering at University of Florida (UF) in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2010 and 2011, respectively. He served the editor-in-chief of the journal of Communications of the CCISA in Taiwan from 2000-2006, and the directors in Chinese Cryptology and Information Security Association from 2000-2024. He was, then, with the Vice-President of CCISA in 2012-2015. Dr. WANG academically toured the CyLab with School of Computer Science in Carnegie Mellon University, USA, in 2007 for international project collaboration inspection.
He is also the authors of 20 books (in Chinese versions): Information Security, Cryptography and Network Security, State of the Art on Internet Security and Digital Forensics, Eyes of Privacy –Information Security and Computer Forensics, Information Multimedia Security, Computer Forensics and Digital Evidence, Computer Forensics and Security Systems, Computer and Network Security in Practice, Image Processing with Applications, Digital Forensics in Mobile Service with Evidence Investigations, and some SCIENCE BOOKs in Fundamental of Cryptography Learning and Security and Forensic Sciences, all published in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023, respectively. Prof. WANG has published over 350 papers in referred Journals/Conference proceedings/Technique reports so far. He is a full professor and a member of the IEEE, ACM. He served a lot of academic and reputable journals in the position of guest-editors, including the lead guest editor at the issue of Advances in Digital Forensics for Communications and Networking - IEEE J-SAC (IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications), and the issue of Security and Privacy Information Technologies and Applications for Wireless Pervasive Computing Environments -INFORMATION SCIENCES
Prof. WANG is currently with the President of E-Security Analysis and Management Association (ESAM) and the Director with ICCL (Information Cryptology and Construction Lab and Chairman of SecForensics.
Chih-Hung Wang was born in Kaohsiung Taiwan, in 1968. He received the BS degree in Information Science from Tunghai University and MS degree in Information Engineering from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1991 and 1993, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, R.O.C. in 1998. He is presently a full professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chiayi University, Taiwan. His research interests include cryptography, network security and intrusion detection with deep learning. He served as the director in Chinese Cryptology and Information Security Association (CCISA) from 2009-2023, and the editor-in-chief of the journal of Communications of the CCISA in Taiwan from 2009-2018.
Prof. Wang is currently the Executive Director of CCISA, and the Director of E-Security Analysis and Management Association (ESAM). He has served as the Program Committee Co-chair for 2019 3rd International Conference on Security with Intelligent Computing and Big-data Services (SICBS 2019) and 2021 International Conference on Security and Information Technologies with AI, Internet Computing and Big-data Applications (SITAIBA 2021).
