Biographical note
Prof. Shahid Mumtaz is a Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, professor. He is an IET fellow, founder, and EiC of IET "Journal of Quantum Communication" and vice-chair of Europe/Africa Region- IEEE ComSoc: Green Communications & Computing Society. He has authored four technical books, 12 book chapters, and 300+ technical papers (200+ IEEE Journals/transactions, 100+ conferences, 2 IEEE best paper awards) in mobile communications. Most of his publication is in the field of wireless communication. He is a scientific expert and evaluator for various research funding agencies. In 2012, he was awarded an "Alain Bensoussan fellowship." China awarded him the Young Scientist Fellowship in 2017.
Prof. Danda B. Rawat is the associate dean for Research & Graduate Studies, a full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS), founding director of the Howard University Data Science & Cybersecurity Center, founding director of DoD Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (CoE-AIML), director of Cybersecurity and Wireless Networking Innovations (CWiNs) Research Lab, and was the founding executive director for the Research Institute for Tactical Autonomy (RITA) - the 15th University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) of the US Department of Defense at Howard University, Washington, DC, USA. Dr. Rawat is engaged in research and teaching in the areas of cybersecurity, machine learning, big data analytics, and wireless networking for emerging networked systems.
Prof. Varun G Menon is currently the deputy dean of research and Development and professor of Computer Science Engineering at SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, India. He is a distinguished speaker of ACM and a senior member of IEEE. Dr. Menon is currently an associate editor of Physical Communications, IET Networks, IET Quantum Communications, series editor of IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and technical editor of Computer Communications Journal. He has served over 20 conferences like IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE ICC, IEEE CAMAD, IC3SIS, EAI SmartGov IEEE COINS SigTelCom, in leadership capacities including program co-chair, track chair, session chair, and technical program committee member. His research interests include sensor technologies, intelligent systems, Internet of things, green IoT, wireless communication, fog computing, and networking.
Dr. Akshi Kumar is a senior lecturer and director of Post Graduate Research (PGR) in the Department of Computing at the Goldsmiths, University of London, London, UK. She is a post-doc from Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará, Fortaleza, Brazil, and a Ph.D. from Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi, India. Dr. Kumar has been endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, as an exceptional promise in the field of Artificial Intelligence/Data Science in 2022. She has received nine research awards for Excellence in Research from various National and International organizations. Her name has been included in the “Top 2% scientist of the world” list by Stanford University, USA, in 2023, 2022, and 2021. Based on the list, her current world rank within the field of artificial intelligence is 1415.
