Biographical note
Shu-Chuan Chu received a Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics, Flinders University of South Australia. She joined Flinders University in December 2009 after 9 years at the Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan. She has been Research Fellow and Associate Professor in the College of Science and Engineering of Flinders University, Australia since December 2009. Currently, she is Research Fellow with Ph.D. Advisor in the College of Computer Science and Engineering of Shandong University of Science and Technology from September 2019. Her research interests are mainly in Swarm Intelligence, Intelligent Computing, and Wireless Sensor Network.
Dr. Shi-Huang Chen is Distinguished Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) and Acting Dean of College of Informatics at Shu-Te University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering (2002) from National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan. Dr. Chen joined the Department of CSIE, Shu-Te University, Kaohsiung, as Assistant Professor in 2003, and from 2008 served as Associate Professor, and then promoted to Full Professor and Distinguished Professor in 2015 and 2020, respectively. His research interests include wavelet transform, speech/audio processing, video processing, vehicle automotive electronics (CAN Bus), vehicle diagnosis (OBD), and applications of embedded telematics. Dr. Chen is Member of IEEE, WIC, and TEGA.
Zhenyu Meng (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree, M. Phil. degree, and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Shandong Normal University, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen in 2008, 2011, and 2018, respectively. After completing the M.Phil. degree, he worked at Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences as Research Assistant during 2012 to 2013 before pursingthe Ph.D. degree. Currently, he is Director of Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Fujian University of Technology, and Professor in Fujian Key Provincial Key Laboratory of Data Mining and Application, Fujian University of Technology. Currently, he serves as Reviewer of several JCR Q1 SCI journals such as IEEE T EC, IEEE T Cyber, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, Applied Soft Computing, Expert Systems with Applications, IEEE Access, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and several Chinese SCI journals. His research interest includes evolutionary computation, computer vision, and vehicle navigation.
Keun Ho Ryu, Ph.D., Life Member (IEEE), is currently serving in Chungbuk National University, South Korea, as well as the Faculty of Information Technology of Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. He is also Leader of the Database and Bioinformatics Laboratory and the Direct of Data Research Center, South Korea, since 1986. He has published or presented over 1000 referred technical articles in various journals and international conferences, in addition to authoring a number of books. His research interests include temporal databases, spatiotemporal databases, temporal GIS, stream data processing, knowledge-based information retrieval, data mining, deep learning, biomedical informatics, and bioinformatics. He has been Member of the IEEE and ACM, since 1982 and 1983, respectively. He has served on numerous program committees, including roles as Demonstration Co-Chair of the VLDB, as Panel and Tutorial Co-Chair of the APWeb, iCAST, ACIIDS and, ICxS workshop, and as FITAT General Co-Chair. Finally, Professor Keun Ho Ryu founded the FITAT International group for providing a professional community the opportunities for publications, knowledge exchange, cooperation, and teaming.
Prof. George A Tsihrintzis is Full Professor in the Department of Informatics in the University of Piraeus, Greece, and served as its Head from Sept. 2016 through Aug. 2020. He received the Diploma of Electrical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (with honors) and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His current research interests include pattern recognition, machine learning, decision theory, and statistical signal processing and their applications in multimedia interactive services, user modeling, knowledge-based software systems, human–computer interaction, and information retrieval. He has authored or co-authored over 350 research publications in these areas, which include 5 monographs and 26 edited volumes.
