Biographical note

Camilla Reid is one of the most experienced and successful devisers of preschool books. Her books have been translated into over 25 languages, with combined worldwide sales of over 30 million copies. Combining novelty elements, striking artwork and Camilla’s unique authorial voice, her range of preschool books for Macmillan Children’s Books includes Soft Flaps titles such as Who's Cute? and the Slide and Count series. Camilla's books tap into what families enjoy, placing the child reader at the heart of everything.

Nila Aye was born in Rangoon, Myanmar. She arrived in the UK at the age of three and spent most of her childhood dreaming and drawing pictures. Nila studied graphic design at Central St Martins in London and has been illustrating ever since. An award-winning artist, Nila describes her work as “retro modern with a cute twist, and a touch of humour”. Her love of visual storytelling and collaboration with authors energises Nila in her mission to bring beautifully illustrated books to a new generation of young readers around the world.
