Biographical note

Siman Nuurali grew up in Kenya. She now lives in Minnesota. Siman and her family are Somali—just like Sadiq and his family! She and her five children love to play badminton and board games together. Siman works at Children’s Hospital, and in her free time, she also enjoys writing and reading.  Anjan Sarkar is a British illustrator based in Sheffield, England. Since he was little, Anjan has always loved drawing stuff. And now he gets to draw stuff all day for his job. Hooray! Apart from the Sadiq series, Anjan has been drawing mischievous kids, undercover aliens, and majestic tigers for other exciting children’s book projects.
