Biographical note

Ian Preston grew up surrounded by story books in a pretty little village deep in the Staffordshire countryside. Every night Ian looked forward to his dad reading him a story at bedtime and he developed a great love of books and storytelling. Their favourite story was 'The Wind in The Willows' and it wasn't long before Ian was writing stories himself. As a grown-up Ian reads bedtime stories to his own children and was delighted one day when his daughter told him all about her imaginary friend, Relly. Ian began to wonder: where did Relly go and what did he do when no-one was playing with him? From that idea he created the world of Imago and started to write about the adventures of Relly and his friend Ogi Ogi.
