Biographical note
Jamie Rix is one of the funniest writers working in children's books today. His GRIZZLY TALES FOR GRUESOME KIDS won the 'Children's Choice' Smarties Award in 1990 and his teenage novel JOHNNY CASANOVA was shortlisted for the Lancashire Children's Book Award. He has written several younger books including a number of picture books.
From a theatrical family (he is the son of Brian (Lord) Rix), Jamie started work at the Royal Court and has worked on many BBC programmes including SMITH AND JONES, TEENAGE HEALTH FREAK and HOW TO BE A LITTLE SOD.
