Biographical note
David Atherton is the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2019. Before applying to be a contestant on the show, David worked as an international health advisor, spending time in UK Aid-funded hospitals overseas. My First Cook Book is David’s first book for children, with a focus on fun and imaginative recipes that are sure to inspire the youngest of readers to get cooking.David Atherton was interviewed by Pink News to talk all about My First Cook Book and how important having representation in the illustrations in the book were to him.

It is a beautiful book and will passed through children of the family. I am hoping this will encourage all children to have a go at cooking .I would say the book was well worth its RRP as it is lovely and I think most children will enjoy choosing what to cook and eat.

My daughter and I are having so much fun cooking some yummy recipes together; she cannot get enough of this book and wants to cook everyday now! The illustrations are so lovely and the recipes easy to follow. Everything we have made has tasted great and I think this cookbook will be a firm favourite in our house.
