Biographical note

Alex grew up in Hampshire with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book. After a maths degree and a few years wrangling spreadsheets, she decided to revisit her first love - children's books. She hasn't looked back since. Alex graduated with distinction from the Bath Spa University MA in Writing for Young People in 2018. Her picture books have been short-listed for the Dundee Picture Book Award, chosen by BookTrust as part of their Bookstart Corner programme and selected by The Reading Agency for the Summer Reading Challenge. She lives just outside Paris with her husband, two sons and a gardenful of chirruping toads.

Pauline is a Devon based illustrator, living by the sea. She specialises in children's literature. Following her passion, Pauline graduated from Plymouth College of Art with a First Class Honours, BA in illustration. She takes inspiration from the funny and endearing things animals and people do everyday as well as the superb imagination that children have. Pauline works with traditional materials to create quirky illustrations with humour and charm.
