Biographical note
John Kane's I say Ooh, You say Aah won the English 4-11 Picture Book Award and shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards. When he was younger, John liked to make up stories for his little sister. Jimmy and Bear, who appeared in them, are still remembered to this day.
