Through rhyming fun and instructional play, children will learn how to keep jitters at bay. This energetic book is for kids who feel the unstoppable urge to hip-slippity hop and twirl-bouncy pop but find themselves in situations in which they can’t freely play, like sitting in a classroom or riding in a car. Children can jump into the vibrantly illustrated world of the ever-kinetic protagonist, who uses muscle-control exercises to burn off blip-fidgety jitters and calm himself down, even in restrictive settings.By teaching simple movements and exercises using fun descriptions and instructional visuals, Gonna Move, Gotta Bounce, Have to Jumpity Jump! builds self-awareness and corrective strategies that kids with hyperactive tendencies can access anywhere, at any time. The playful tone normalizes a child’s skip-squirmy impulses and offers approachable guidance for even the most active kids. The rhyme scheme and imaginative vocabulary engage children who want to learn how to regain focus so they can have a smooth and smiling day.
