Sally Symes (Author)
Sally was born in Newcaste and studied Graphic Design at Brighton. She is the author of Funny Face, Sunny Face, illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw, and has also written a number of books with long-time collaborator Nick Sharratt, including The Gooey, Chewy, Rumble, Plop Book, winner of the Educational Writer's Award. She lives in Sussex with her two children, a dog called Mabel, and an axe-wielding husband.
Rosalind Beardshaw (Illustrator)
Rosalind Beardshaw is the illustrator of several books for Nosy Crow, including the bestselling When a Dragon Comes to Stay and I See the Moon.
She loves creating new characters, especially if they can be based loosely/wholly on her shaggy lurcher, Basil.
She lives in York with her partner, Al, daughter, Iris, and young son, Freddie, who loves watching Calamity Jane.
