Biographical note

Ian Whybrow is a hugely popular children's writer with over a hundred books to his name, including the bestselling Harry and the Bucket Full of Dinosaurs series (as seen on TV). His picture books for Macmillan include The Christmas Bear and the Say Hello series.

Axel Scheffler is a star illustrator whose instantly recognizable, warm and witty illustrations have achieved worldwide acclaim, numerous awards and been translated into over 100 languages. Best known for his picture book collaborations with Julia Donaldson including The Gruffalo and lift-the-flap series Tales From Acorn Wood, he is also the illustrator of wonderful novelty and gift books for Macmillan, such as The Bedtime Bear and Who’s Hiding on the Farm? Born in Hamburg, Axel now lives with his family in London.
