Biographical note

Heather Alexander has written numerous books for children and young adults including previous titles in this series, A Child's Introduction to the World, A Child's Introduction to Greek Mythology, and A Child's Introduction to Art. She is a former book editor and lives in Los Angeles, CA.


Sara Mulvanny is a freelance illustrator who grew up with a paint brush in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. After studying Illustration at Kingston University, Sara now lives in Surrey, England and has built an impressive portfolio working on a variety of projects from books and magazines to large scale illustrations for museums and restaurants.
