Biographical note

Aardman Animations is an independent and multi-award-winning studio based in Bristol (UK) and co-founded in 1976 by Peter Lord and David Sproxton. It produces feature films, series, advertising, games and interactive entertainment, and has created much-loved characters including Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Timmy and Morph. The studio also runs the Aardman Academy, which has a commitment to nurturing talent by delivering excellence in film and animation training and mentoring.

Amanda Li loves creating and writing books for children. An art school graduate, she was a commissioning editor in children’s publishing for many years before becoming a full-time writer. She has worked on hundreds of fiction, non-fiction, humour and activity titles since then. Amanda was delighted to be the winner of the Blue Peter Book Award 2020 for Best Book with Facts. She lives in Wimbledon with her husband, Andy, and her daughters, Izzy and Millie.
