Biographical note
Dr Nick Crumpton is a zoologist and author. He has worked at the Natural History Museum, the BBC Natural History Unit, the Zoological Society London and the Royal Society. His children's books have been published by Nosy Crow and Flying Eye Books.
Viola Wang is a graduate of the Children's Book Illustration MA at the Cambridge School of Art and won the Sebastian Walker Award in 2018. She was born in China, where she studied oil painting before moving to the UK to work as a graphic designer. In 2021 she was selected for the Drawing Year scholarship programme at the Royal Drawing School.
