Biographical note

Joy Jordan-Lake is a #1 Amazon bestselling author, mom, hiker, dog-lover, gardener of all things hardy that need no coddling, a recently rededicated—but often backsliding—runner, and from time to time, an adjunct professor of literature and creative writing. To date, she's written ten books, including historical and dual timeline novels such as the #1 bestselling A Tangled Mercy, set in Charleston, South Carolina; Under a Gilded Moon, set at the Biltmore Estate during the Gilded Age; and the Christy Award–winning Blue Hole Back Home. Joy's most recent children's picture book is Sir Drake the Brave. Her upcoming historical mystery A Bend of Light, set post-WW2 on the coast of Maine, releases this fall. Jane Chapman studied illustration at Brighton University a long, long time ago but now lives in a tiny village in Dorset.
