SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL -- Gr 4-6 –Twins Hansel and Gretel return home from a camping trip to find their parents missing and lots of weird stuff happening in their home. It turns out that their parents are monster hunters who have been secretly keeping the local cryptofauna at bay, and now it’s up to the kids to face down the monsters and rescue their parents. The candy-colored palette and stream of wisecracks from the bickering siblings help keep this action-filled story from getting too intense.

"I'm not usually a fan of fairy tale stories, but I have a hunch Grimms Town, Candy Creeper, is going to make me change my mind. The story by Neo Edmund is not only great fun, with sparkling dialogue and characters I came to understand and care about right from the very beginning, but it's also sneaks up on you as a solid horror/adventure story as well. I found myself wanting... no... needing to finish reading it in one binge-worthy session. And it certainly doesn't hurt that the art by Renae Deliz is truly amazing. Her characters live and breathe and her ability to create a real world for those characters to live in, immediately draws you into the story. Neo and Renae have done a wonderful job of making me care and if you give Grimms Town a chance I have a hunch it'll do the same for you." -Marv Wolfman
