Biographical note
Helen M. Sharp is a freelance education writer, certified school administrator, and former educator. She has written more than fifty articles for state and national education publications, including NASSP Bulletin book reviews and was the coauthor of The Educator's Writing Handbook and Case Studies for School Leaders: Implementing the ISLLC Standards.For school leaders, Sharp provides 31 case studies of situations that occur in K-12 settings, with application questions at the end of each. They relate to addiction to computer games, alcohol, bomb threats, bullying, conflict resolution, dropouts, gangs, drug use, gay bashing, guns, homework, overachievers, sports parents, suicide, truancy, and other problems.
