Biographical note
Partha Sarathee Bhowmik received his B. E. degree (Electrical Engineering) from Tripura Engineering College (Presently, National Institute of Technology Agartala) India in 2000, M. Tech. degree (Electrical Engineering) form the University College of Sc. & Technology, University of Calcutta, India in 2002 and Ph. D. degree from Jadavpur University, India in 2015. Dr. Bhowmik has more than twenty years of professional experience in research and teaching. He served as a faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, India from Aug. 2002 to Aug., 2007. Since August, 2007 he has been a faculty member of the Electrical Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology Durgapur, where he is currently an Associate Professor. Beside his teaching responsibility, he is an Associate Dean (Academic Research) since April, 2021 till date.Since Jan. 2016 to March. 2021, he has served as an Associate Dean (Academic & Examination).
He has authored and co-authored more than 30 research papers, developed an online course, published three books and also contributed five book chapters published from the National and International Publishing Houses. He also handled research projects, as a principal investigator, Co-principal investigator sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. He has also organized numerous national and International Conferences, AICTE Faculty development program, conducted Seminar, workshop and youth development program as an Organizing secretary, Coordinator, Convenor etc. He regularly acts as a reviewer for several leading international journals like IEEE, IET, Elsevier etc. His current research includes application of signal and data processing tools in power systems, measurement and instrumentation, Soft Computing techniques, power systems stability, FACTS Devices, smart grid/micro grid, instrumentation and renewable energy. Dr. Bhowmik is a member of IEEE, ISTE, IET, fellow of IE (I) and IETE (I).
Aashish Kumar Bohre is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, West Bengal, India. He received his B.E. (2009) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UIT-RGPV Bhopal, M.P., India; M.Tech. (2011) in Power System Engineering and Ph.D. (2016) in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, India. He has over six years of teaching experience and has supervised several PhD, MTech and BTech theses in different research areas. His research interest includes distribution system operation and planning, sustainable development of power system, distributed generation, power system optimization, operation and planning of transmission system, FACTS planning, smart grid, renewable energy, power system stability, transient analysis, power system reliability, electric vehicle and soft computing techniques, etc. Dr. Bohre has published several research papers in reputed journals and conferences and also authored 14 chapters and one book. He is editor of one book entitled ‘Planning of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems, Electric Vehicles and Microgrid: Modeling, Control and Optimization’ published by Springer. He is an Editorial Member of Scientific Reports, Springer Nature. Dr. Bohre is a Senior member of IEEE and also an ctive member of IEEE, IEI and IAENG.
Mukesh Kumar Kirar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Maulana Azad Natinal Institute of Technology, India. He received his B.E. (2006) in Electrical Engineering from UEC Ujjain (RGPV) Bhopal, M.P., India; M.Tech. (2008) in Power System Engineering and Ph.D. (2014) in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, India. He has over thirteen years of teaching experience and has supervised several UG, PG and PhD theses in different research areas. He has published 15 Journal, 3 Book Chapters in his research area. Dr. Kirar has also published more than 20 research papers in verous reputed conferences. His research interest includes power system stability and control, power system optimization, operation and planning of transmission system, FACTS planning, smart grid, renewable energy, power system stability, transient analysis, and soft computing techniques, etc.
Mohan Lal Kolhe is a full professor in smart grid and renewable energy at the Faculty of Engineering and Science of the University of Agder (Norway). He is a leading renewable energy technologist with three decades of academic experience at the international level and previously held academic positions at the world's prestigious universities, e.g., University College London (UK / Australia), University of Dundee (UK); University of Jyvaskyla (Finland); Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada); etc. In addition, he was a member of the Government of South Australia’s first Renewable Energy Board (2009-2011) and worked on developing renewable energy policies. Due to his enormous academic contributions to sustainable energy systems, he has been offered the posts of Vice-Chancellor of Homi Bhabha State University Mumbai (Cluster University of Maharashtra Government, India), full professorship(s) / chair(s) in 'sustainable engineering technologies/systems' and 'smart grid' from the Teesside University (UK) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) respectively.
Professor Kolhe is an expert evaluator of many prestigious international research councils (e.g., European Commission: Erasmus+ Higher Education – International Capacity Building, Royal Society London (UK), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC UK), Cyprus Research Foundation, etc.). Professor Kolhe has successfully won competitive research funding from the prestigious research councils (e.g., Norwegian Research Council, EU, EPSRC, BBSRC, NRP, etc.) for his work on sustainable energy systems. His research works in energy systems have been recognized within the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University’s 2020, 2021 matrices. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in his field, whose top 10 published works have an average of over 175 citations each.
S. Suwarno is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. His primary areas of research interest include power and petrochemical applications. He obtained a bachelor's degree from ITS, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), Germany, and Aalborg University Denmark (2009), and a Ph.D. from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway (2012). Before returning to Indonesia, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials at Utrecht University in the Netherlands (2012–2015). He has involves in H2020 european commission project (RISE) from 2018-2023 to develop hydrogen storage materials. He has edited several conference proceeding and books since 2018 published by AIP, Trans Tech Publications. He regularly conducting review for many international and high impact journals.
