<p>"Functional polymeric composites occupy a privileged spot due to their important impact on a wide range of the new technologies that are currently used in our daily life, in different relevant fields, ranging from optical, biomedical, cosmetics to packaging, automotive, and construction. The chapters of this book address some of the recent research topics related to advanced polymers and composites. I warmly congratulate the editors for bringing together the different contributors to produce this original book, which will serve those who wish to learn more about these promising new functional polymeric composites." </p><p>—Dominique Durand, CNRS Research Director Emeritus, Department of Polymers, Colloids, Interfaces, Le Mans University, France</p>
