In a world facing the dual crises of food insecurity and climate change, this groundbreaking book offers a compelling and practical roadmap for sustainable development. It explores the transformative potential of agroforestry—an innovative land-use system that integrates trees, crops, and livestock on the same plot of land, providing numerous ecological, economic, and social benefits.Through a comprehensive examination of agroforestry practices, the authors demonstrate how this integrative approach can enhance agricultural productivity, restore degraded lands, and improve livelihoods for rural communities. Richly illustrated with case studies from around the world, the book highlights successful agroforestry initiatives that have not only boosted food security but also sequestered carbon, conserved biodiversity, and increased resilience to climate change.Written by leading experts in the field, this book is an essential resource for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and students interested in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.
