Oliver Schwedes (Prof. Dr.), geb. 1967, leitet seit 2014 das Fachgebiet »Integrierte Verkehrsplanung« am Institut für Land- und Seeverkehr der Technischen Universität Berlin. Nach seiner Promotion an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin hat der Politikwissenschaftler in der Projektgruppe »Mobilität« am Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung gearbeitet. He makes clear that technical innovations alone will not be enough; rather, transport policy must be practised as social policy.
