This new book provides a clinically relevant overview of cancer immunology and immunotherapy, exploring the cutting-edge research behind cancer’s driving mechanism of immune suppression and providing radical new ideas for improving therapy by employing these principles. It demonstrates the use and effectiveness of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs in eliminating tumors and provides an overview of immunoregulation via allogeneic stem cell transplantation. It also discusses the various resistance mechanisms in cancer immunology. It offers new hope for survival via immunoediting and details the development of antigen and phenotypic plasticity molecules for cancer immunotherapy.
