Biographical note

Professor Russell L. Weaver is Professor of Law and Distinguished University Scholar at the University of Louisville’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. He has written hundreds of books and articles, been cited thousands of times, and has made presentations at conferences and law schools all over the world. Duncan Fairgrieve is Professor of Comparative law at Paris-Dauphine University, as well as Senior Research Fellow in Comparative Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London. He is a leading comparative lawyer, with research interests spanning both comparative private and public law, with specific focus on three specific areas, comparative administrative law, comparative law of obligations, as well as comparative law methodology. He was educated at King's College London, Oxford University and the Sorbonne, Paris. He has published over 20 books and numerous articles in leading journals.
