Biographical note

Sharmila Pixy Ferris is Professor in the Department of Communication and past Director of the Centre for Teaching Excellence and the Social Justice Project at William Paterson University, USA. Her scholarship is in the areas of computer-mediated communication, groups and organizations. 
Kathleen Waldron is President Emerita of William Paterson University of New Jersey, and past President of Baruch College, NY, USA. Her accomplishments include bringing William Paterson to the status of a Hispanic-serving institution and co-founding New Jersey Campus Compact.
