“The book claims to be suitable for undergraduate students, and interested and concerned researchers, practitioners, and citizens. It will serve these audiences well but would be of equal benefit and importance to policymakers and those making decisions about adopting AI technology who might otherwise be focused on a narrower functional perspective. … Highly recommended for all.” (Nicolas E. Gold, Genetic Programming and Evolvable Machines, Vol. 22, 2021)

“Responsible Artificial Intelligence is a valuable contribution to the debate about AI … at the level of building principled, responsible AI systems, and the use of these systems. The further reading which the book suggests complements this technical monograph with accessible contributions about the nature and future of AI. … If you want to know how a vision for responsible AI systems in the European fashion can be built from values, read this book.” (Neil Yorke-Smith, Prometheus, September, 2020)
