Biographical note

Dr Changzhen Gong received his PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota, USA, and his BS and MS in mathematics from Shandong University, China. Dr Gong serves as the president of the American Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture. He has written, edited and published over seven hundred articles and books on acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He coauthored Modern Acupuncture. Dr Gong's other research areas include acupuncture and Chinese medicine history.Dr Wei Liu received her medical degree from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and then trained in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Minnesota. She is the clinic director of TCM Health Center. She has combined acupuncture, Chinese herbs and nutrition in her practice for more than 30 years. Dr Liu has authored or co-authored over one hundred papers, articles and books on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.
