Biographical note

Betsy Hearne, a professor in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is the author of Beauty and the Beast: Visions and Revisions of an Old Tale and several award-winning children's books. Deborah Stevenson is the associate editor for the Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books.
